Mall 7 Bang Khae, Thailand
A joint venture between J.I. Co.,Ltd. and Futuretec headed by Barry G Cummings and his counterpart Somkiat Chaichana.
This project introduced polyurethane systems into Thailand. Some 20,000m2 in floor area, this indoor park and outdoor waterpark won critical acclaim for its innovations and excellent
design qualities. The lead designer was Landmark Entertainment headed on site by Tony Massaro. It is still considered by many the benchmark of a successful “themed” project.
Mall 8 Bang Kapi, Thailand
This projectwas the sister project to Mall 7. So successful was the original concept that little was changed.
Sega Centre Sydney, Australia
The Project Director Barry G Cummings was responsible for arguably the two most complex attractions being Rail Chase and
Ghost Hunters. Sega’s high tech rides were complemented by a Cambodian Ankor Wat style and Ghostly elements to respective rides. The dome to the atrium area was extremely complex due
too weight issues but was solved using high tensile fabrics.
Grandlink World Qingdao, China
The nucleus of what is now Atech Asia were involved in this extremely demanding project. The 200,000m2 outdoor park was
completed in a period of sixteen weeks. A feat that was widely regarded as impossible. Using some 2,700 staff including Australians, New Zealanders, Thais, Filipinos, British and of
course local Chinese artisans we carried out some US$7 million worth of theming and construction from scratch.
Magic Island Ramintra, Thailand
A 7,000m2 indoor park with a management team largely as Atech Asia is today. This complex FEC was designed by Scape
Architects of Bangkok, Thailand under the direction of Magic Land, arguably Thailand’s most successful park operations team. The high density placement of attractions and its ongoing
success is a testament to those that worked on it.
SM Southmall Manila, Philippines
Designed by Landmark Entertainment this was the forerunner of FEC’s in the Philippines and to date the most ambitous. Key
Personnel within Atech Asia such as Somkiat Chaichana were critical to the success of this project.
Dreamworld Cavite, Philippines
This was undoubtedly the Philippines most ambitious project. Futuretec Australia headed by Barry G Cummings and Jim
Vansleve were most likely the determining factors in the appointment of Foamtech services as the Project Management team on this project. That most of this team remain involved within
the Atech Asia group or within strategic partners employ speaks volumes of the vast range of abilities and resources. That Dreamworld was never completed is entirely down to the
Asian crisis, there is no doubt that the upstream work had been completed by this time.
Movie World Gold Coast, Australia
Our construction manager Mr. Peter Musgrove was the project manager on this project. It has gone on to be one of the
Southern Hemispheres most successful Theme parks. Using innovative systems and skilled personnel, many of whom are amongst Atech Asia’s human resource, the longevity and the industry
awards this park achieved are surpassed by none.
Filinvest Mall Alabang, Manila
Atech Asia’s staff were amongst the prime movers of this Familly Entertainment Centre. Completed during the economic
downturn ti now remains as the premier opposition to SM Southmall.
SM Storyland Fairview, Manila
C0-founder of Attraction Technology Barry G Cummings undertook this project as the Director of Operations. The site
manager Peter Musgrove remians Atech Asia’s comnstruction manager whilst the production manager Somkiat Chaichana is co-founder of Atech. the 6,500m2 indoor park was completed within a
time frame of 16 weeks utilizing Australian, Thai & Filipino staf. It has been a resounding success and carries on in the tradition of SM’s familly oriented organization.
Seacon Square Bangna, Bangkok
Seacon Square was and probably still remains the largest shopping center un the Southern Hemisphere. The indoor Theme
park was daring in that it used custom made coasters and other equipment. Our Project Director was involved in the innovative solutions adopted by Artbusters for a good deal of their
display pods. It also boasts a SFCPU facade panel system, likely the longest themed facade anywhere.
